REPORT ON PROCEEDINGS AT GENERAL MEETING                                        
At the general meeting of the shareholders of Datatec (JSE and LSE: DTC), held  
at 14h00 today, 2 October 2009, both the ordinary resolutions proposed at the   
meeting were passed by the requisite majority of votes.                         
The resolutions authorise the directors of Datatec to issue up to 7,000,000 of  
the company`s shares as they deem fit, other than as an issue for cash. This    
authority is valid until the next annual general meeting of the company.
