Coal of Africa Limited (the “Company") was notified on 18 September 2015 by M & G Investment
Management Limited (“M&G”) that, as at 18 September 2015, M&G held 346,128,850 ordinary shares of nil
par value each in the Company, representing 17.96 per cent of the Company's issued share capital at that
date.         The shareholding decreased by 1.91 per cent following the recent shareholder approved share
placement of 183,231,261 additional shares issued to Yishun Brightrise Investment PTE Limited on the 18th
of September 2015.
