Salient Dividend Dates

At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today shareholders approved the payment of a
final dividend of ZAR 0.13145 per share from income reserves, equivalent to 0.80305 pence per
share, converted at the rate of ZAR 16.36883 : GBP 1.00 on the currency conversion date.

The salient dates of the dividend payment are as follows:

1.     No transfers between the Johannesburg and London registers between commencement of

       permitted.
2.     No shares may be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 2 December 2013 and
       Friday, 6 December 2013, both days inclusive.

The Company has Secondary Tax on Companies credits of ZAR611 902 838 (which equates to
ZAR 0.33476 cents per share) available for set-off against the South African dividend withholding tax
liability. Accordingly, no dividend withholding tax will be deducted from the gross dividend declared.
The Company’s South African income tax reference number is 9154588173.
