DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE INP SHARE INSTALMENT

Notice is hereby given of the dividend amount payable for INVESTEC PLC and that as a result of the
dividend declaration relating to INVESTEC PLC (INP) the Trustees of the Share Instalment Trust have
declared a dividend amount of 112 cents per INPNII share instalment that is payable on Friday, 28
December 2012. The gross dividend is comprised of 98 cents per share instalment and 14 cents per
share instalment.

Regarding the two declared amounts:-
   - The 98 cents per share instalment is subject to a local tax of 15 per cent. STC credits utilized
       equate to 28.32564 cents per share, resulting in a net dividend of 87.54885 cents per share
       instalment.
   - The 14 cents per share instalment is also subject to a local tax of 15 per cent. No STC credits
       were utilized, resulting in a net dividend of 11.9 cents per share instalment.

Hence, the total net dividend amounts to 99.44885 cents per share instalment. The final payment
will be rounded to two decimal places.

The last day to trade cum-dividend is Friday, 07 December 2012. The Share Instalment will
commence trading ex-dividend from Monday, 10 December 2012. The record date will be Friday, 14
December 2012.
