APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR

In accordance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited and
further to the announcement released on SENS on 25 July 2022, the board of directors of the
Company (“the Board”) wishes to advise Shareholders that Mr. Zou Long has now been
appointed as chief executive officer and as an executive director of the Board, with effect from
2 August 2022. Mr Zhimin Li, who served as interim chief executive officer, will vacate this
position with immediate effect.

Mr. Zou Long holds a master’s degree in Engineering and has 24 years of experience in the
mining industry. He has extensive management and mining experience and has served as the
Group Deputy General Manager and as the Group General Manager at the No. 2 Mine of the
Jinchuan Group. Furthermore, Mr. Zou Long has held various critical senior positions within
the Jinchuan Group, including, serving as a mining engineer at Jinchuan Congo Mining Ltd in
the Democratic Republic of Congo and at Albidon Ltd in Zambia.

The Board is satisfied that Mr. Zou Long has the necessary management experience, skills
and qualifications to serve as chief executive officer of the Company.

The Board welcomes Mr. Zou Long and looks forward to his contribution to the Company.
