APPOINTMENT OF FINANCIAL DIRECTOR AND LEAD INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Financial Director

The board of Miranda is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Carina de Beer as Financial
Director with effect from 8 October 2012.

Carina headed the financial division of dual JSE and AIM listed- SacOil Holdings Limited as Finance
Director for two years, after spending two years as the Group Finance Manager. Carina is a
Chartered Accountant (SA). She completed her articles with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Carina has 13 years’ experience in corporate financial management and reporting, company
secretarial practice, compliance and corporate governance. Carina has served as an executive
member of a number of JSE listed entities. She is a member of the Institute of Directors as well as
the South African Institute for Chartered Accountants

The board welcomes Carina and looks forward to working with her.

Lead Independent Director

Michael Yates, an independent non executive director of the Company, has been appointed as the
Lead Independent Director of the Board with immediate effect.
