RAND WATER
Rand Water is established in terms of the Water Services Act, of 1997 (the "Act"). Through the
Department of Water and Sanitation and duly represented by the Minister of Water and Sanitation,
the Government of the Republic of South Africa is the sole shareholder of Rand Water. In terms
of the Act, Rand Water's primary activity is the provision of bulk water supply services (potable
bulk water and sanitation services) within its service area.

CHANGE IN DEBT SPONSOR
In terms of the JSE Limited Debt Listings Requirements, noteholders are advised that the
appointment of The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited as Rand Water’s debt sponsor will be
coming to an end on 28 February 2023.
Furthermore, noteholders of Rand Water are advised that, following a procurement process
initiated by Rand Water, the Company has appointed Nedbank Corporate and Investment
Banking, a division of Nedbank Limited, as Rand Water’s debt sponsor with effect from 1 March
2023 for a period of five years.
