TRP121: NOTIFICATION OF ACQUISTION OF SECURITIES


In compliance with section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008 (“Companies Act”) and
paragraph 3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are hereby advised that,
pursuant to the distribution in specie of Zeda shares by Barloworld Limited to its shareholders, Zeda
has received formal notification from Zahid Tractor & Heavy Machinery Limited (“ZTHM”) that it has
acquired interests in the ordinary shares of the Company, such that the total interest in the ordinary
shares of the Company held by ZTHM amounts to 18.84%.

Zeda has, as required by section 122(3)(a) of the Companies Act, filed the required notice with the
Takeover Regulation Panel.

The board of Zeda accepts responsibility for the information contained in this announcement and, to
