TRANSNET COMMERCIAL PAPER ISSUANCE: PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Transnet wishes to notify Market Participants of its private placement schedule of Transnet’s Commercial Paper.
Earlier during the year Transnet provided Market Participants with Transnet’s Commercial Paper Issuance
Schedule ending in November 2020.

Transnet Treasury will interact with the Commercial Paper Participants under the following provisions.

1. Bids will be open to Members of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”) provided they are registered
   with Transnet Treasury. Parties who have not registered with Transnet, or whose FICA documentation is
   outstanding, are advised to tender through a JSE Member.
2. Transnet Treasury will only accept bids from 9am to 11am daily.
3. Private Placement will be available from 01 July 2020 to 27 November 2020 or until further notice.
4. Transnet Treasury reserves the right to allocate at its sole discretion.
5. Additional features of Transnet’s Commercial Paper Private Placement.
   5.1 Placements will be for six and twelve month maturities;
   5.2 Reference rates will be for the relevant Jibar Rate for that specific tender date;
   5.3 Parties will need to bid a margin to the relevant Jibar Rate, in increments of 0.5 basis points plus/minus
        to Jibar flat;
   5.4 Successful, parties will be allocated at their specific bid rate;
   5.5 Transnet reserves the right to not allocate fully.
   5.6 Bids will be a minimum of R5 million; and
   5.7 Bids must be submitted telephonically and then confirmed by email.
