TRADING STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE YEAR ENDED 28 FEBRUARY 2018

In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, listed
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon they become reasonably certain
that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by at least 20% from those of the
previous corresponding period. Accordingly, shareholders are advised that:

–   The basic loss per share for the year ended 28 February 2018 is expected to be (13.61) cents per
    share, reflecting a decrease of 261% when compared to the basic loss of (3.77) cents per share
    reported for the prior year ended 28 February 2017; and
–   Headline loss per share for the year ended 28 February 2018 is expected to be (12.51) cents per
    share, reflecting a decrease of 253% when compared to the headline loss of (3.54) cents per
    share reported for the prior year ended 28 February 2017.

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and
reported on by the Company’s auditors. The Company expects its results for the year ended
28 February 2018 to be released on SENS on 20 February 2019.
