Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements

GEN – General - JSE Limited

(ISIN: ZAE 000079711 ALPHA CODE: JSE)

Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements

The Financial Markets Act No. 19 of 2012 (the “FMA”) came into force on 3 June 2013. The FMA
repeals the Securities Services Act No. 36 of 2004 (the “SSA”).

As a consequence and in line with the transitional arrangements of the FMA, the JSE must amend the
JSE Listings Requirements (the “Requirements”) to align same with the provisions of the FMA. The
affected sections to the Requirements are:

   • Definitions
   • Introduction
   • Section 1 - Authority of the JSE
   • Section 3 - Continuing Obligations
   • Section 5 - Methods and Procedures of Bringing Securities to Listing
   • Section 22 - Accreditation of Auditor, Reporting Accountants and IFRS Advisers.
   • Schedules - Schedule 16

All amendments to these sections have been marked-up for review.

The proposed amendments to the Requirements are available on the JSE’s website (www.jse.co.za –
Route: How to List/Listings Requirements/New Items) and affected parties are invited to submit their
comments by no later than Friday, 22 November 2013. Comments can be submitted electronically to
alwynf@jse.co.za.
