Amendments to the JSE Listings Requirements: Simplification Project

The JSE refers to its previous announcements on the Simplification Project.

The JSE has released its final sections of the Simplification Project, comprising its listing offerings:

    •       Section 4: Conditions of Listing;

    •       Section 14: Pyramid Companies;

    •       Section 15: Investment Entities;

    •       Section 18: Dual Listings and External Companies;

    •       Section 20: Hybrid Securities; and

    •       Section 21: AltX.

Certain ancillary matters are also addressed as mentioned in the Key Amendment Schedule.

This concludes the simplification of all the sections of the JSE Listings Requirements (the
"Requirements"), which commenced in September 2023. The JSE undertakes to release a final
simplified consolidated version of Requirements for public consultation, along with all key amendment
schedules, soon after the expiry of this public consultation process.

As a reminder, a dedicated Simplification Project portal has been created through the link below,
which forms the central database for the project.

The Sections above include the following documents for public consultation:

        •    Key Amendment Schedule identifying any amendments that are not considered
             simplification;
        •    New Section 3: New Listings;
        •    The sections as mentioned above;
        •    Schedules as indicated;
        •    Updated definitions; and
        •    Updated Relocation Reports.

The JSE invites comments on the proposed amendments by close of business on Friday, 13
September 2024, and comments can be sent to simplification@jse.co.za.
