SHORT-FORM ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE UNAUDITED UNREVIEWED CONDENSED
INTERIM FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 SEPTEMBER 2022

Shareholders are advised that the Company’s unaudited unreviewed condensed interim financial results
for the six months ended 30 September 2022 were published on SENS on 31 October 2022
(“Full Announcement”).

Financial highlights

The financial results for the six months ended 30 September 2022 when compared to the six months ended
30 September 2021 (“the Comparative Period”), are set out below:

    -   Net asset value per share (ordinary and preference shares) increased by 24% to R17.64 per share
        from R14.22 per share for the Comparative Period.

    -   Headline earnings and basic earnings per share (ordinary and preference shares) increased by
        383 cents per share to 350 cents per share from a loss of 33 cents per share for the Comparative
        Period.

    -   Revenue increased to R21 692 836 from R1 502 478 for the Comparative Period and net profit
        before tax increased to R179 113 559 from a loss of R16 727 279 for the Comparative Period.

    -   No dividend has been declared in respect of the current or Comparative Period.
