TRADING UPDATE AND RENEWAL OF THE CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                       
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement, dated 13 October 2009, in   
which the company advised that a loss for the six months ended 31 August 2009   
was anticipated and that caution should be exercised when dealing in the        
company`s shares until a further announcement was made.                         
TRADING UPDATE                                                                  
In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE     
Limited, a company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it     
becomes aware, with a reasonable degree of certainty, that the financial results
for the next period to be reported on are likely to vary by more than 20% from  
the previous corresponding period.                                              
Shareholders are advised that the company is in the process of finalising its   
results for the six months ended 31 August 2009, and expects to reflect a loss  
per share of between 12.33 cents and 14.77 cents and a headline loss per share  
of between 10.76 cents and 12.88 cents when compared to earnings and headline   
earnings per share of 14.4 cents for the six months ended 31 August 2008.       
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not been    
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.                              
The company`s results for the six months ended 31 August 2009 are expected to be
released on SENS on or about 11 November 2009.                                  
RENEWAL OF THE CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                          
Shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in the    
company`s shares until the financial results for the six months ended 31 August 
2009 are released.
