VOLUNTARY TERMINATION OF HSBC'S PRIMARY DEALER MEMBERSHIP

The National Treasury hereby announces that HSBC Bank plc – Johannesburg Branch ("HSBC")
has voluntarily applied to terminate its membership as a primary dealer in the Republic of
South Africa's government bond market.

This follows HSBC's strategic decision to exit its operations in the Republic of South Africa.

The termination will take effect after HSBC's participation in its final government bond auction on
Tuesday, 22 July 2025, with settlement occurring on Friday, 25 July 2025.
