DELAY IN THE RELEASE OF FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE
2021
Noteholders are advised that City of Johannesburg’s (“the Issuer”) Annual Financial
Statements for the year ended 30 June 2021 have been delayed. This is due to the delayed
finalization of the audit by the Auditor General. The City’s Audit report was finalized on the
25th January 2022 by the Auditor General.
A report providing reasons for the delayed submission of the Integrated Annual Report was
tabled to the Mayoral Committee and Council on the 27 th January 2022 in compliance with
section 133 of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
The Annual Financial Statements together with the Annual Report will be tabled at the next
Council meeting for approval by Council. Noteholders will be updated further regarding the
publication of these in due course.
