APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the Board of
Directors of NVest is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Denny Emslie (“Denny”) as an
Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 16 August 2021.

Denny is a qualified Chartered Director (SA) with over 25 years of comprehensive experience
in financial management and consulting. Denny also holds a Masters of Philosophy of
Development Finance and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management. Denny has
been employed as a senior lecturer at Fort Hare University’s East London campus since 2004
and is the Departmental Head of Financial Management and also lectures in Auditing and
Governance, Strategic and Business Management, PFMA and Public Finance. Denny is also
a member of the Audit Committee of Blue Crane Municipality in the Eastern Cape and is a
board member of the East London Senior Citizen Association. She also has 11 years’
experience in the private sector, with her last position having been Business Manager (Africa
and Middle East Region) for BBC World Service.

Denny will also serve as a member of NVest’s Audit and Risk Committee.
