SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT RELEASES REVISED MINING CHARTER

Orion Minerals Limited (ASX/JSE: ORN) (Orion or Company) notes the publication of a revised Mining
Charter in the South African Government Gazette of 27 September 2018 (Revised Charter).

Initial reading of the Revised Charter suggests that all of the Company’s South African holdings are
currently in compliance with the Revised Charter and that no material adverse effect on short or long term
business plans are anticipated.

The Company will keep shareholders appraised, following further consultation with its legal advisors and
the Minerals Council of South Africa.
