purposes only in respect of Letshego Holdings Limited’s Note Programme.
NOTICE TO SHAREHOLDERS – RESULTS OF LETSHEGO NAMIBIA IPO
Letshego Holdings Limited (LHL) was incorporated in 1998, is headquartered in Gaborone and
has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. It is an
inclusive finance focused group with consumer, micro-lending and deposit-taking
subsidiaries across 11 sub-Saharan African countries.
The Board communicated to Shareholders on 31 August 2017 that Letshego Holdings Namibia
Limited (Letshego Namibia) expected to list on the Namibian Stock Exchange (NSX). The
Namibian Stock Exchange listing is in line with Letshego Namibia’s commitment to meeting
its licensing mandate for local ownership.
The Board is pleased to confirm to Shareholders that Letshego Namibia will list on the NSX
on Thursday 28 September 2017, with an initial market capitalisation of N$1.9bn. As a
result of the IPO, LHLs shareholding in Letshego Namibia will reduce from 85% to 79%, with
LHL’s share of the proceeds from the listing being N$114m.
Further details will be provided to Shareholders on the publication of LHL’s full year
results, ending 31 December 2017. These are expected to be announced late February / early
March 2018.
