Anglo American Platinum Board Changes
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements the Board is pleased to announce the
appointment of Themba Mkhwanazi and Matt Daley as non-executive directors of the Company with effect from
1 June 2023.
Themba Mkhwanazi’s appointment to the board follows the Anglo American plc SENS announcement released on 31
May 2023 in which his new role as Regional Director, Africa & Australia was announced. Themba has over 18 years’
experience in the resources industry, including South Africa, as well as in the US and Australia.
The appointment of Matt Daley strengthens the technical skill set on the board. Matt is a mining engineer with more
than two decades of underground, open cut, smelting, refining, project, and commodity trading experience. As Group
Director – Technical for Anglo American plc, Matt leads the safety, discovery & geosciences, mining, processing,
business improvement, asset strategy and reliability, information management and supply chain disciplines.
The Board welcomes Themba and Matt and look forward to their contributions to board discussions.
Anik Michaud and Duncan Wanblad have stepped down as non-executive directors with effect from 1 June 2023 and
the Board thanks them for their leadership and contributions during their tenure.
