Further Cautionary Announcement

Further to the cautionary announcements released on the Stock Exchange News Service of the
JSE Limited on 22 December 2021 and 03 February 2022, shareholders are advised that Sanlam
Limited (“Sanlam”) and Allianz SE continue to explore various strategic alternatives in relation to
their respective African business units (excluding South Africa).

If these strategic alternatives result in a transaction which is successfully concluded, it may have
a material effect on the price of Sanlam’s securities. Accordingly, shareholders are advised to
continue exercising caution when dealing in Sanlam’s securities, until a further announcement in
this regard is published.
