NOTICE TO BONDHOLDERS REGARDING THE RELEASE OF THE ISSUER’S AUDITED SUMMARY
CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2018
Bondholders are referred to the announcement released by the Issuer on SENS on 28 February 2019
in respect of the Issuer’s audited summary consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31
December 2018 (“summary financial statements”). The summary financial statements were derived
from the audited consolidated financial statements of Santam for the year ended 31 December 2018
(“the financial statements”).
Bondholders are advised that the audit report on the financial statements of the Issuer was
unqualified, with no modifications applicable.
Furthermore, the Issuer advises bondholders that there were restatements to the previously
published audited consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2017, which
related to the current/non-current split of amounts recognised on the statement of financial position,
the impact of IFRS 9 on the statement of cash flows and the recognition of the underlying financial
assets of the repurchase liability. Further detail on these restatements are contained in the summary
financial statements.
