APPOINTMENT OF AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Shareholders are referred to the SENS announcement released on 27 November 2012
advising shareholders that the Company had entered into a Memorandum of
Understanding in order to introduce additional black economic empowerment (BEE)
shareholding into the Companys mining services business units (the Proposed
BEE Transaction).
Whilst the Proposed BEE Transaction is in the process of being finalised, and in
compliance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, the
board of directors of Buildmax is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Jackie
Mathebula as an executive director with effect from 15 January 2013.
Mr Mathebula holds a MBA from the University of Pretoria, Master of Management
from the University of the Witwatersrand, and a Bachelor of Administration
(Honours) from the University of South Africa. He has served as an executive
within various sectors including mining, manufacturing, retail and financial
services. He is currently a Director of Harmoserve (Pty) Limited (Harmoserve).
Harmoserve will be one of the beneficial BEE shareholders of the Proposed BEE
Transaction.
Buildmax is pleased with the quality and depth of business experience that this
appointment brings to the Company and the Board welcomes Mr Mathebula to the
Company.
