NOTICE OF AN INCREASE TO THE PROGRAMME AMOUNT OF THE FIRSTRAND BANK LIMITED
NOTE PROGRAMME

Notice is hereby given to each holder of notes issued under the FirstRand Bank Limited note
programme (the programme) and pursuant to the section entitled “Size of the programme” under “Key
features of the programme”.

Noteholders are hereby notified that the board of directors of the issuer has passed a resolution to
increase the programme amount of the issuer’s note programme from R30 000 000 000 to
R 60 000 000 000.
