PRE-AUDITED ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS FOR YEAR ENDED 30 JUNE 2024

EThekwini hereby advises noteholders that it has submitted its pre-audited annual financial statements
for the year ended 30 June 2024 (pre-audited AFS) to the Auditor General South Africa and to National
Treasury.

The pre-audited AFS comprise of the separate statement of financial position as at 30 June 2024, the
separate statement of financial performance, statement of changes in net assets, cash flow statement
and the statement of comparison of budget and actual amounts for the year that ended on 30 June 2024,
as well as the notes, compromising a summary of significant accounting policies and other explanatory
information.

The submitted pre-audited AFS were prepared in accordance with the South African Standards of
Generally Recognized Accounting Practice (SA standards of GRAP), the requirements of the Municipal
Finance Management Act of South Africa, 2003 (Act No. 56 of 2003) (MFMA) being Section 126 1(a) and
(b), the Division of Revenue Act of South Africa, 2015 (Act No.1 of 2005) (DoRA).
