NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND NO CHANGE STATEMENT

Notice is hereby given that Sovereign’s seventeenth annual general meeting of shareholders will be
held at the Sun International Boardwalk Hotel, Beach Road, Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth on
Thursday, 4 August 2016 at 10:00, to transact the business as stated in the notice of annual general
meeting of the Company, forming part of the integrated annual report.

The integrated annual report is being distributed to shareholders today, 4 July 2016.

Shareholders are advised that the full integrated annual report, including the annual financial statements
for the year ended 29 February 2016, is available on the Company’s website at
http://www.sovereignfoods.co.za/investors. The annual financial statements for the year ended
29 February 2016 contain no modifications to the audited results released on SENS on 31 May 2016.
