Trading Statement

In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited ("JSE"), companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty
exists that the financial results for the period to be reported on will differ by 20% or more from the
financial results for the previous corresponding period.

Shareholders are advised that Ansys changed its year-end to 31 March 2016 as announced to
shareholders on 30 May 2016. Ansys is currently finalising its results for the 13 month period
ended 31 March 2016. Management has indicated with a reasonable degree of certainty that
the results for the period will be as follows:

The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed or
reported on by Ansys’ auditors. The Company’s financial results for the year ended 31 March
2016 are expected to be released at the end of June 2016.
