MDC - Medi-Clinic Corporation Limited - Changes to the board of directors Medi-Clinic Corporation Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number: 1983/010725/06) ISIN: ZAE000074142 Share Code: MDC ("Medi-Clinic" or "the company" or "the group") CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Board of Medi-Clinic is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof Dr Robert Leu as an independent non-executive director and Dr Ronnie van der Merwe as an executive director of Medi-Clinic with effect from 26 July 2010. Mr Alwyn Martin has also retired as a director of the company with effect from 26 July 2010. Prof Dr Robert Leu is the executive director of the Department of Economics at the University of Bern in Switzerland and also serves on the board of the group`s operations in Switzerland, Medi-Clinic Switzerland AG. Dr Ronnie van der Merwe is the Chief Clinical Officer of Medi-Clinic and has been a member of the company`s Executive Committee since 2003, after joining the group in 1999. The Board of Medi-Clinic only stands to benefit from the wealth of knowledge and experience that Prof Dr Leu and Dr Van der Merwe offer. Mr Alwyn Martin, who has served as an independent non-executive director of Medi -Clinic and member of the Audit and Risk Committee since 2002, has reached the compulsory retirement age of directors.
