THE RE-OPENING OF THE R210 (2.60%; 2028) INFLATION-LINKED BOND

The National Treasury has a wide range of instruments that it utilises to finance its borrowing
requirement. To manage certain risks, issuance of some of these instruments is suspended and
re-opened when necessary, at the discretion of the National Treasury. As such, the
National Treasury will be re-opening the R210 (2.60%; 2028) inflation-linked bond. The instrument
will be used as an additional funding tool for the remainder of the 2023/24 fiscal year.
