UPDATE ON CHANGES AT EXECUTIVE LEVEL


In compliance with the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, stakeholders are advised that the
contract of employment for the Acting Chief Executive, Mr Mboniseni Dlamini expired on the 30th of June
2022. The Board has appointed Dr Sipho James Manana, who holds the position of Group Chief Shared
Services Officer, to be the Acting Chief Executive in the interim whilst the Board finalises the process to
fill the position. Dr Manana is a Member of the Executive Committee of Umgeni Water and the Board has
full confidence that he will be equal to the task and will steer the organisation to greater heights.


In 2020, the Board reviewed the organisations strategy “Vision -2050”. Part of the strategy alignment
included the necessity to revise the Top Structure (macro-structure) for the organisation to have a lean
structure in support of the Growth Strategy which has culminated in the following appointments in the
Top Structure:
