CAUTIONARY ANNOUCEMENT
Letshego Holdings Limited was incorporated in 1998, is headquartered in
Gaborone and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE)
since 2002. It is a holding company with consumer and micro lending
subsidiaries across nine countries in Southern and East Africa - Botswana,
Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Swaziland, Tanzania and Uganda.
The Board of Directors informed Shareholders on the 27 April 2015, via a
cautionary announcement, that the Company has entered into negotiations with
a third party in Tanzania to become a 75% shareholder in a deposit taking
financial institution that specializes in micro finance, which if
successfully concluded, and subject to all regulatory approvals, may result
in a transaction that could have an impact on the price of the Company’s
securities.
These negotiations are continuing and accordingly, Shareholders are advised
to continue to exercise caution when dealing in the Company’s securities
until a further announcement is made.
