Fatal accident at RBPlat’s Styldrift I Project

RBPlat regrets to announce the death of Mr Xadreque Chihungo a Shaft
Sinkers contractor employee at its Styldrift I Project.

Mr Chihungo, employed as a Stage Hand, was fatally injured in a shaft
related incident that occurred on the 4th of October 2014.

All normal underground operations have been suspended pending a full
investigation into the incident, which has already commenced in
conjunction with the Department of Mineral Resources.

RBPlat remains committed to the safety of its workforce.

The board of directors, management as well as colleagues at the
Styldrift Project extend their sincere condolences to Mr Chihungo’s
family and friends.
