LATE SUBMISSION OF REIT COMPLIANCE DECLARATION

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”) refers to the announcement by Fortress on 2 November
2022 wherein Fortress confirmed that on 1 November 2022 and as provided for in the JSE Listings
Requirements (the “Requirements”), Fortress received a letter from the JSE relating to Fortress’ REIT
declaration and REIT status.

Pursuant to paragraph 13.50(c) of the Requirements the Company’s REIT status will be removed by
the JSE if it fails to submit a REIT Compliance Declaration compliant with paragraph 13.49(d) of the
Requirements by no later than 30 November 2022 and the JSE will release an announcement
confirming this fact.

The JSE wishes to advise that the Company has failed to submit a REIT Compliance Declaration
pursuant to paragraph 13.49(d) of the JSE Listings Requirements (the “Requirements”) within the
four-month period stipulated in the Requirements.

Accordingly, holders of securities of the Company are cautioned that the Company’s REIT status is
under threat of removal.

This announcement has been placed by the JSE in the interest of shareholders.
