APPOINTMENT OF GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE

In accordance with paragraph 6.39 of the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Eskom wishes to advise noteholders of the appointment of Mr Dan Marokane as Group Chief
Executive of the Company. He will join Eskom no later than 31 March 2024.

Mr. Marokane is a qualified Chemical Engineer, with an MBA and is a seasoned executive
with more than 20 years senior leadership experience. Mr Marokane returns to Eskom after
he and three other senior executives were suspended following an ethical stand they took
against state capture, fraud and corruption.

The above appointment has been made in terms of the Company's policy on the nomination
and appointment of directors and is as a result of the resignation of his predecessor (as per
the SENS announcement on 15 December 2022).
