PAN AFRICAN SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDES WAGE NEGOTIATIONS AT BARBERTON MINES
Pan African shareholders are hereby informed that the Company has successfully entered into a two
year agreement with the National Union of Mineworkers (“NUM”) and the United Association of
South Africa (“UASA”) on wages and other conditions of employment for employees at its Barberton
Mines (Proprietary) Limited operation (“Barberton Mines”), for the financial years ending 30 June
2014 and 30 June 2015.
The average Barberton salary and wage bill increase for these financial years will amount to
approximately 8% per annum, effective from 1 July 2013.
CEO of Pan African, Ron Holding commented: “This agreement concludes all of our wage discussions
for 2013 and finalises both Evander and Barberton’s wage negotiations for the next two financial
years.”
