POSTING OF NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING                                            
Shareholders are advised that a general meeting of Eqstra will be held on       
Wednesday, 31 August 2011 at 09:00 at the registered office of the              
Company, Eqstra Holdings, 61 Maple Street, Pomona, Kempton Park.                
The purpose of the general meeting is to obtain approval to allow the           
Company to provide direct or indirect financial assistance to any related       
or inter-related company or corporation in respect of the new Companies         
Act of 2008 (Act 71 of 2008).                                                   
The salient dates are as follows:

Last day to trade in order to be eligible to attend   Friday, 19 August         
and vote at the general meeting                                                 
Record date to determine which shareholders are       Friday, 26 August         
entitled to attend and vote at the general meeting                              
Forms of proxy for the general meeting to be lodged   Monday, 29 August         
by 09:00 on*                                                                    
*any forms of proxy not lodged by this time must be handed to the               
chairperson of the general meeting immediately prior to the general             
meeting.                                                                        
The Notice of general meeting will be posted to shareholders today,             
Thursday 28 July 2011, by registered post.
