WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Shareholders are referred to the joint cautionary announcement released on SENS by the Company and
Impala Platinum Holdings Limited on 27 October 2021 (“Joint Cautionary Announcement”) and are
advised that the Company has been informed by its single largest shareholder, Royal Bafokeng Holdings
Limited (“RBH”) that it is no longer supportive of the transaction referred to in that Joint Cautionary
Announcement. RBH has further indicated that in so far as it holds shares in the Company, it will vote
against the proposed scheme of arrangement referred to in the Joint Cautionary Announcement. Due to
this unexpected turn of events, the scheme of arrangement cannot be implemented without the support
of RBH. Accordingly, caution is no longer required to be exercised by shareholders when dealing in
securities of the Company.
