Appointment of Debt Officer

In compliance with the Debt Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, debt holders are advised that Mr
Andre Pillay, in his capacity as Group Executive: Treasury of Telkom has been appointed as Debt Officer
of the Company with effect from 1 November 2020.

Mr Pillay occupies the position of Group Executive: Treasury in Telkom since 1 September 2019. His
primary role spans over the day-to-day management of the Treasury and developing a funding strategy
and plan for the Company. He oversees the drafting and execution of the borrowing programme, liquidity
and specific financial risk management of the Group Treasury. He is also responsible for negotiating with
various stakeholder groups and lenders, ensuring the alignment of objectives towards the achievement
of projects and approval of loans, devising and developing funding structures for the respective business
units of Telkom. He is further responsible for liaison with the credit rating agencies and capital market
investors as part of his activities.

Mr Pillay has extensive business and financial acumen, obtained during his successful career of over 25
years. He has a proven track record in managing the largest corporate treasury in South Africa presiding
over a debt and derivative portfolio in excess R500bn, and a funding plan of approximately R300bn and
having successfully negotiated and concluded multi-billion-rand funding agreements with major banks
and investors both domestically and internationally. His experience in the debt capital markets will enable
him to discharge responsibilities as the Debt Officer.

The Board of the Company confirms that it has considered and is satisfied with the competence,
qualifications and experience of the newly appointed Debt Officer.
