APPOINTMENT OF ZODWA MANASE CA(SA) AS NEW BOARD CHAIRPERSON

Zodwa Manase CA(SA) was appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of TCTA on 8
November 2017 by the Minister of Water and Sanitation, Ms Nomvula Mokonyane. This
follows the resignation of the previous board Chairperson Ms Monhla Hlahla at the end of
October 2017.

Ms Manase has been a member of the current TCTA Board since the start of its term in
December 2015, before her new role she was Chairperson of the board’s Risk Committee.
Her term as Chairperson will end simultaneously with that of the board, on 30 November
2018.

Ms Manase has 30 years’ experience in auditing, accounting and finance, with vast
knowledge and experience in corporate governance and risk management. She has been
a member of a number of boards in the public and private sector since 1998, a list which
includes nine years at the South African Reserve Bank, nine years at the State Information
Technology Agency (SITA) of which she was Chairperson for six years, six years as
Chairperson of TOTAL SA and at the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust.
