Jeffrey will manage the day to day affairs of THA, represent the company on the Management Boards of operating Joint Ventures and seek out new business in Angola. He will report to the Managing Director of THG, currently Altie Krige in an acting capacity. Jeffrey has two decades of minerals industry experience spanning Brazil, South Africa, Nigeria and Guinea. He is a degreed mining engineer and earned his South African Mine Managers Certificate of Competency in 1985. Most recently for BHP Billiton, he developed group wide strategies for Minerals Bill compliance in South Africa as well as for various infrastructure projects on the African continent. His extensive ties with Brazil as Finance Director of BHP Billiton Metais SA for six years in Rio de Janeiro and his fluency in Portuguese make him well suited to Angola. The Ovian family will take up residence in Luanda during July.
