Salient Dividend Dates
At the Annual General Meeting of the Company held today shareholders approved the payment of a
final dividend of 14.10000 ZAR cents per share, equivalent to 0.81268 pence per share, converted at
the rate of ZAR17.35000 : GBP 1.00 on the currency conversion date.
The salient dates of the dividend payment are as follows:

Ex-Dividend date on the JSE Monday, 1 December
Ex-Dividend date on the LSE Thursday, 4 December
Record date Friday, 5 December
Payment date Friday, 19 December
1. No transfers between the Johannesburg and London registers between commencement of
trading on Friday, 21 November 2014 and close of business on Friday, 5 December 2014 will be
permitted.
2. No shares may be dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday, 1 December 2014 and
Friday, 5 December 2014, both days inclusive.
The Company has Secondary Tax on Companies credits of ZAR371,639,126 (which equates to
ZAR20.30821 cents per share) available for set-off against the South African dividend withholding tax
liability of which 14.10000 ZAR cents per share will be utilised for this dividend. Accordingly, no
dividend withholding tax will be deducted from the gross dividend declared. The Company's South
African income tax reference number is 9154588173 and it has 1,829,994,763 shares currently in
issue.
