DECLARATION OF CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE DIVIDENDS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the following cumulative preference dividends
have been declared:

6,5% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES - DIVIDEND NO. 65

A dividend at the rate of 6,5% per annum in respect of the six months ending
31 July 2001 (equivalent to 6,5 cents per share per annum) (2000 : 6,5 cents
per share per annum) payable to shareholders registered in the books of the
Company at the close of business on 6 July 2001.
6% CUMULATIVE PREFERENCE SHARES - DIVIDEND NO. 65

A dividend at the rate of 6% per annum in respect of the six months ending
31 July 2001 (equivalent to 6,0 cents per share per annum) (2000 : 6,0 cents
per share per annum) payable to shareholders registered in the books of the
Company at the close of business on 6 July 2001.

Payment of dividends by way of electronic transfers will be made on 31 July
2001.  Alternatively, dividend cheques will be posted on or about 29 July
2001.
