Further to the cautionary announcements released on the 23 April 2010 and 28    
April 2010, in terms of which MTN announced that it was in discussions with     
Orascom Telecom`s parent company, Weather Investments S.p.A. relating to the    
possible acquisition by MTN of control of Orascom Telecom and/or certain of its 
businesses, MTN shareholders are advised that discussions have been terminated  
and caution is no longer required to be exercised by MTN shareholders when      
dealing in their MTN securities.
