TRADING STATEMENT                                                               
In terms of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings Requirements,     
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are       
reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period  
will be more than 20% different than that of the previous corresponding period. 
As a result of the above, Pinnacle"s shareholders are informed that, for the six
months ended 31 December 2004, Pinnacle"s headline earnings per share and       
earnings per share are expected to be between 100% and 105% higher than the     
comparative results for the 6 months ending 31 December 2003.                   
The above information has not been reviewed or reported on by the company"s     
auditors. The company"s interim results for the six months ended 31 December    
2004 are expected to be published on or about 18 February 2005.
