PARIS, Sept 27 (Reuters) – French company TotalEnergies
said on Monday that it expected a sharp drop in demand
for oil between 2030-2050, as other forms of energy supply
become more popular, such as solar and wind power.
“Oil demand plateaus before 2030, with a strong decline
thereafter, reaching 64 MB/d in ‘Momentum’ and 40 MB/d in
‘Rupture’ in 2050,” the company said in a presentation.
