CHANGES TO THE BOARD

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, York shareholders
(“Shareholders”) are advised that Dr. Jim Myers has retired as chairman of the board of directors
of York (“Board”) and resigned as an independent non-executive director of the Company, with
effect from 8 June 2022.

Dr. Myers joined the Board as an independent non-executive director in February 2007 and has
served as chairman of the Board since May 2007. During his 15-year tenure, he applied his
extensive experience in guiding the Company with distinction in delivering on its growth strategy.
His positive encouragement, trusted collaboration with executive management and inclusive
approach to all Board members will be missed.

The Board would like to thank Dr. Myers for his calm leadership and invaluable service to the
Company and wishes him the very best in his future endeavours.

The Company is in the process of identifying a suitable successor and Shareholders will be advised
once an appointment has been made.
