DIRECTORATE CHANGE

In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, shareholders are advised
that Mr Katlego Kobue (“Katlego”) has been appointed an independent non-executive director of Dis-Chem
with immediate effect.

Katlego has a BCom from WITS and is currently a Senior Investment Manager in the Royal Bafokeng Holdings’
Strategic Investment team with over 10 years investment experience. Katlego sits on a number of other
Boards and is also an independent chairman of DHL Express SA.

The board of directors welcomes Katlego to the Dis-Chem Board and looks forward to working with him in
the future.
