PASSING OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF LEWIS GROUP
It is with great sadness that the board of directors (“the board”) advises shareholders
that independent non-executive director Duncan Westcott passed away on 19 August
2021 following a Covid-19 related illness.
Duncan was appointed to the Lewis Group board in December 2017. He was the
chairman of the audit and risk committees and also served on the remuneration and
nominations committees.
Chairman Hilton Saven paid tribute to his board colleague: “Duncan made a
tremendous contribution to our board and committee affairs over the past four years.
His passing leaves a huge void on the board and he will be fondly remembered for his
wonderful disposition and incredible compassion. Duncan was a man of great integrity
with a passion and commitment for everything that he undertook. He will be sorely
missed by all who knew him.”
The board extends its deepest sympathies and condolences to Duncan’s family, friends
and colleagues.
