PASSING OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD


It is with deep regret and sadness that the AH-Vest board of directors (the “Board”)
wishes to inform shareholders of the passing of Mr Ismail Ebrahim Darsot, the Chairman
of the board, on 16 July 2021.

The directors wish to extend their sincere condolences to Mr Darsot’s family, the staff at
AH-Vest, advisors, his colleagues and friends in this difficult time.

Mr Darsot was the founder of Eastern Trading Proprietary Limited and built up a
successful business in the manufacturing of food products, particularly canned foods
under the Dursot brand. Eastern Trading won numerous awards over a number of years
and acquired control of AH-Vest in 2012. He was instrumental in the successful
turnaround of the Company, including the relocation of the factory, the expansion of
production lines and improvement in reporting and efficiencies, which led to the
declaration of a maiden dividend last year under his Chairmanship.

During his tenure he brought strong leadership and wise counsel to the Company and
he will be sorely missed. It is the end of an era.

The appointment of a new Chairman of the board will be advised in due course.
