RBPLAT ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 and 6.39 of the JSE Limited Listings and Debt Listings Requirements
respectively, the RBPlat Board of directors (the “Board”) announces the resignation of Hanré Rossouw,
the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director of the Company. Hanré has been with the
Company for almost three years and has informed the Board that he will be pursuing a career
opportunity at Sasol Limited.
In order to ensure a smooth transition, Hanré will remain in his current role until 3 April 2022. The
Board has commenced a formal process to identify a successor and will update the market in due
course.
Steve Phiri, Chief Executive Officer, commented: “I would like to thank Hanré for the valuable
contribution he has made since joining the Company in 2018. He has been a catalyst for
transformation in our business with milestones including the completion of the purchase of the 33%
share of Rustenburg Platinum Mines Limited (a subsidiary of Anglo American Platinum Limited) in our
business, successful commercial production of Styldrift, the conclusion of the gold streaming
agreement, as well as the payment of our maiden dividend. He has also worked diligently to ensure
we have been able to minimise the impact of the pandemic in our business. We wish Hanré all the
best for his future endeavours.”
Obakeng Phetwe, Chair of the Board, added: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to express gratitude
to Hanré for his valuable contribution to the Company in recent years. We anticipate affecting a very
smooth transition over the coming months and will look forward to announcing a new Chief Financial
Officer in due course.”
